The consumption of SOW® products containing omega-3 fatty acids, plant fiber, sterols and stanols decreases triglycerides and "bad" LDL cholesterol, while "good" HDL cholesterol increases.

Research has shown that with doses of 25 to 30g per day of chia seeds a reduction of up to 30% in triglyceride concentrations is achieved, while the consumption of chia oil provides a reduction of over 35% in levels of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood.
